The coined cuts in the bezel also made it very easy to set with or without hand coverings.Funny, when I unboxed this new Oris Aquis Calibre 400 for this review, I couldn’t stop looking at the dial. I say that because in my experience there are not many dive watches in this price point that have a uni-directional rotating bezel of this quality. The Green bezel on the Oris Aquis Date was surprising crisp. Overall a very good combination of alternating finishes. The sides of the case featured a smoothed brushed finish with the face of the lugs being polished. The stainless steel bracelet has brushed center links with finely polished outer links. The finishing on this watch is what you’d expect out of a luxury Swiss watch maker. The weight was also noticeable, mostly comparing to my Omega Seamaster 300m. With the case coming in at 43.5mm and lug to lug width of 50mm, the Green Oris Aquis Date wears somewhat large on my wrist (and I’m not a small guy). The weight and size of this watch watch has a presence on the wrist. Again, if you’re like me and traditionally stick to the white or black bezels, this was a welcomed surprise. What was most interesting with the Green Oris Aquis Date is that the bezel and dial varied in looks in different lighting conditions. The sunburst bright green dial paired with a darker shade of green bezel really captivated our attention. Our first impression of the Green Oris Aquis Date didn’t disappoint. That sparked my interest into getting hands on the the Green Oris Aquis Date to discover what it’s all about and if this could be a watch that makes it into the rotation one day. If you’re a traditional white or black dial guy like me, you’ve probably flirted around with the idea of getting a splash of color to the collection. The one that excites us the most is the Green Oris Aquis Date. The Oris Aquis date a lone has over 40 different variations to choose from. The watch manufacture Oris has always done a great job at developing wrist watches that are fun to wear and have a color combination for everybody. It’s easy to wear and gives a fun little splash of color. As of late, the color green has been ultra popular in the watch world.
